DC Shooting News Inaccuracies

Good news! The two National Guard soldiers who were shot in Washington DC, have been upgraded from dead, to critically wounded. "News" in the USA is full of misinformation. Especially all of the AI garbage videos bombarding social media. Cash Patel says this is an eye opening situation.

Don't Spread Misinformation

While social media is a good way to keep up with friends and family, the amount of outside, unwanted, blatantly lying posts, and false stories, is astounding. Nearly everything is a lie. This is definitely on purpose. It's meant to make it nearly impossible to know what is true or false. It allows for the control of those who believe in the nonsense. Reality is being shaped by those who want control. Do a little research before you push the share button and spread more lies and hate.

The Truth About Posting Crap

Recently, I mentioned misinformation coming from conservative friends. Since then, I've noticed more coming from liberal friends. In both cases, it's reposting garbage that isn't true. Oh, I know you want it to be true. A portion of it might even be true! But, when it is based on or prefaced with misleading or inaccurate information, then it's crap. It undermines the truth. It's also why if your posts are mostly the reposting of others, I probably don't follow you. But great news! It's usually pretty easy to search if your post is true or false. But sadly, does anyone care about that anymore???

Anti-Vaccine Garbage Propaganda

I stopped following a couple of friends I knew way back in school recently, because one was touting MAGA and the other is promoting anti-vaccine misinformation. For the latter, reposting other people's garbage about their child dying from the vaccine without researching it or even considering the alternative world we would live in if there were no vaccines, I just can't argue with people who can't accept science. One could say that seat belts killed a person in a car accident, if that person was wearing a seatbelt. The reality is, the person would have died with or without the seat belt if the accident was severe enough. It's also not unusual for these stories to be completely made up. But these individuals aren't going to be thankful that they don't have to endure an iron lung the way people did back in the 1950s during the polio epidemic. They just want to propagate crap.

Minnesota Media Caricatures

In case anyone cares, nobody in Minnesota talks like the caricatures that are circulating. In fact, the national news anchors adopt a "Midwestern" accent for TV, regardless of where they are from. I've lived in Minnesota most of my life. The people are generally well educated. They don't live on tater-tot hotdish and say, "Yah you betcha!" But, since there is very little truth being told these days, this manufactured, completely inaccurate version of Minnesotans is being circulated by liberals and conservatives alike. It's apparently considered politically correct because it also incorrectly perpetuates the myth that only people of white European ancestry live here.

Stop Believing Crap You Read on Social Media!

I know I've said this before... but I keep seeing people fall for this garbage! So, almost all of these "heartwarming stories," the "facts" from the past, the "super politically correct stories," or the "facts" about immigrants or minorities, or white people, etc. is absolute madeup garbage to push someone's political agenda! It's so disheartening to see the same people not only repeatedly fall for this crap, but continue to share it and repost it. Wow! Have you ever thought about looking this stuff up on legitimate sources before sharing it? Because I do just that all the time! Do you really want to believe garbage that has half a grain of truth and then runs full tilt into make-believe lies and deceit? Are people really dumb enough to continuously be influenced by others who want us to ingest their crap as gospel? Wow! Most of this stuff tips my bullshit meter after a sentence or two, and people repost it again and again!!!

Start Recycling at Hmong Events!

Hey Hmong Friends and Family, I love you guys, but I would like it better if you started recycling. One Hmong funeral creates a giant dumpster full of mixed trash, including styrofoam plates, plastic utensils, glass beer bottles, aluminum cans, plastic bottles, hunks of butchered cows, pigs and chickens, and much more (all mixed together and bound for the landfill). Fifty years is long enough to learn to recycle, so please don't tell me (anymore) that you can't do it. I'm just concerned about the World we are leaving behind for our children. I know no one else will call you out on this, because they choose to ignore issues if it makes them politically uncomfortable. But I can like you, and hate that you aren't recycling simultaneously.

Irony of Saving the Environment

The irony of the Dakota Pipeline Protest , is that it has created an environmental disaster in the process. The protesters have left behind enormous piles of garbage . When the original idea was to "save the environment," it seems that this mountain of trash is jeopardizing the environment instead. Fracking can become an environmental hazard when it allows "brine" to escape into waterways—but economic gains are often placed ahead of the environmental risks. Transporting oil by rail is dangerous, and pipelines have issues too. So while the battle goes on, the protesters have created an environmental disaster in the process. Looking in from the outside, it all seems so insane. There has to be a better way to handle these disputes.

If You Like Street Corner Garbage

Among the many reasons to Not give money to panhandlers , is that pile of garbage or the plastic bag full of trash tied to the light pole. If the fact that you are giving your money to a likely con artist , and promoting their parasitic lifestyle isn't enough to make you ignore the panhandler, then how about the garbage they leave on the street corner? If nobody gave these people anything, they would go away and the garbage would go away too. http://cutris.blogspot.com/2014/02/panhandler.html

Urban Fishing & Garbage

I did a little fishing early this morning and ended up pulling someone's litter out of the lake. Most of it had its origins in fishing and made me wonder why anyone who likes to fish would be so stupid as to allow their trash to end up in the lake. There is a garbage can near the end of the fishing pier. Is that too far to go to throw your crap away? There are way too many irresponsible people on this Earth mucking it up!

Stop Political Propaganda at Home

My new sign has effectively eliminated the daily political propaganda that I had to pull out of my door each day! The "No Solicitors" sign is not enough; as religious and political sellers seem to think it doesn't apply to them for some reason.

Trash, Green Arrows & Red Lights

I've been noticing a lot of two issues. One is drivers running red lights and the other is people throwing their garbage (littering) on the ground or in lakes. When I wake up in the morning, I can see trash on the street and on the lawns of myself and my neighbors. Apparently it is our responsibility to clean up after the steady stream of people who walk from the apartments at the end of the block—through our neighborhood to the convenience store and back all day and all night. Now to my morning fishing excursions. In the past few days, I have fished out of the lake, bait containers, fishing line, pop cans, beer bottles, cigarette packs and other assorted trash. Much of this is likely from people fishing from the pier. I'm not sure why people who like to fish, like to do so amidst a pile of garbage, but apparently it is also my responsibility to clean up their trash from the lake where they tossed it. Bringing me now to the second part of my rant. Every day, I notice on avera...
