The irony of what is about to happen to rural America, and the small-town people who have been supporting Donald Trump, is that the federal money that historically propped up their infrastructure is being pulled away. While some people applauded as programs to help minorities and immigrants were repealed, the social programs subsidizing such things as rural healthcare, media and education have now been targeted. This is further evidence that many people were fooled by a liar who used their own prejudices against them. What will be more interesting, is if these same people will be able to recognize their mistake as things begin to go bad for them.

His supporters attack the U.S. Capitol, and he pardons them. People protest his policies and he sends U.S. Marines to stop them. This is a dictator. Stop pretending this is for the good of the people.

How handing out million dollar checks to buy an election is legal, I cannot understand. But some people don't have a soul, and no matter how much money they have, they cannot buy one. If there are still people who don't think that billionaires are buying the government for their own purposes, think hard about this one election for a judge seat in the state of Wisconsin. The one thing I do understand, is that enough good people had the decency to say no to this hostile takeover.

What we have now under Trump in the USA, is that sick racist sexist crap that has been whispered forever and I can remember hearing it occasionally throughout my childhood. As an adult, I thought it was mostly gone, but it exists in especially rural areas. Those places where diversity does not really exist, seem to foster the most resentment against people who are different. That crap has spewed up and become normal now. It's shameful. I had thought that it snowed overnight. The plow went by. I was going to put on my winter gear and go get the snow blower out. However, I found out from Donald Trump that it is actually Fentanyl! So, the "master deal negotiator," Donald Trump, was going to try to extort $500 billion worth of mineral rights from Ukraine. There wasn't much in it for Ukraine, except Volodymyr Zelenskyy was going to do it if he could get some assurances of security for his country. At that point, Trump could not resist being a bully and talking down to a superior leader and human being. As a result, Zelenskyy did what any reasonable person would do, and left without signing the deal. Thus, the "great deal maker," Donald J. I "like" the story about the politicians who got what they asked for on the border issue, but since they are controlled by a contrarian who is only interested in his own power, they decided to put the interests of every citizen in the country behind that of one rich dictator-want-to-be.
