Bait & Switch Politics

Broken Healthcare

My virtual doctor appointment lasted 3 minutes and they billed $292. It took 2 months to get the appointment, and then one test was mistakenly not done, and needed to be redone. But this is supposedly better than national health insurance? That's a crock of crap.

Missing Funeral Money

During my father-in-law's recent funeral, I watched as my wife handed a $1,500 donation to the "important men." We were thanked, as this was a donation equivalent to giving a cow--and this was a Hmong funeral where several cows are used to both feed the crowd at the 3-day event; as well as payment for those helping. Monetary donations are supposed to be recorded in a ledger, because sometimes money "disappears." Our donation was never recorded, and the money is unaccounted for. Some members of the family have told us not to say anything, so not to "start trouble." It's all about "saving face." However, none of them are worried about us saving face--as it appears we did not contribute to the very expensive, complicated and long funeral. So I guess I should just keep quiet...

Friends & Opportunists

My wife and I have seen recently, how tragic events bring out the best, and the worst in people--who are supposed to be close. It's revealing to see who is trustworthy and who is looking for personal gain. There are a lot of unscrupulous people in the world. Some are pretending to be friends. Others attack when you are vulnerable. In the end, they have to live with their choices.

Stealing from the Elderly

In a conversation with my elderly mother, she mentioned that when her car was being serviced, that half of the coins in the console were missing when it was returned. She also commented, that she would never say anything because she wouldn't want someone to lose their job. Herein, lies the difference between the elderly and those people who would prey upon them.

Keep Fighting Unfair Healthcare Billing

I win again.

Tell Lawmakers to End Healthcare Billing Abuse

HealthPartners just called me again to tell me that the coders have it just right. Even though my son had never seen his new doctor before and she was asking questions about his prescriptions, this was not considered preventive care. So they are charging for an additional office visit on top of the preventive visit. This is just a way to steal my money and it has to stop. Everyone who is sick of this needs to contact their state representative to ask that surprise billing stops.

HealthPartners Double Billing Drives Up Healthcare Cost

Health Partners is billing for two simultaneous appointments because we had prescriptions refilled that were running out. They keep calling to tell me it is legitimate because it is a preexisting condition. I keep telling them it is "legal" theft because prescriptions are part of preventative care (which we don't pay for). They are now reaching for things in the "notes" to bolster their argument for taking my money. I've asked the Minnesota Attorney General to help—because this is one more reason that healthcare in the USA is broken and way too expensive.

Health Partners Legalized Theft

Health Partners and Health Partners Clinic is charging me for two clinic visits for a 20 minute preventative (supposed to be covered by insurance) appointment because the doctor talked to me about lowering blood pressure. How can they bill for two visits for a single appointment??? What other business can get away with this? Update: Just 6 hours into my publicizing this all over social media, Health Partners (after first calling to say the charge was legitimate) just called to tell me the charges had been recoded and removed from my account.

To Goodwill Music Thief

To the person who stole all the good music CD's from Goodwill . You have good taste in music. Out of the 8 or 10 CD's I opened because I might want to buy one, you had stolen the CD's out of the cases of 6 of them. Now I like good Rock music too, so I can understand why you chose those disks. I like to buy them. But I can understand how a scumbag like you might not want to pay the $1.99 for a used CD. I mean if you are a lowlife enough to steal from a charitable organization, then you certainly wouldn't want to pay for 6 (or probably more) CD's. I hope you feel good about it. Goodwill could have made a couple of bucks from me yesterday; but the CD's I wanted had been stolen by you so they didn't. Way to make a negative impact on society. I'm sure since I alerted Goodwill that some idiot thief has been stealing their CD's, they will need to remove the disks from the cases like other stores often do. I hope you enjoy listening to your CD's! Inci...

Do you want to open a Target Credit Card?

I was at Target and the cashier asked if I wanted to open a Target charge card. I said, "no I don't-- haven't you heard? " She started laughing and said "they" told her she has to ask everyone... No hard feelings Target , but if I bought an ice cream cone and it blew up all over my shirt, if the ice cream guy asked me if I wanted to buy another one I would say 'no' to him too.

Charges Against CuTRis Dropped

Charges Against CuTRis Dropped UnAssociated Press January 9, 2014 Charges against CuTRis were dropped today, after he explained to a short, circuit judge , that the temptation was just too great to hit the man who was trying to steal his wife's car as it warmed up in the garage. The victim/alleged thief said he was tempted by the running car and could not help himself from going into the garage to steal it. CuTRis likewise explained that he was also victimized by the victim/thief because he was tempted to hit the guy for trying to take his wife's car. Citing extreme confusion, the judge moved to drop all charges and go get some coffee .

CuTRis Charged with Assault

CuTRis Charged with Assault UnAssociated Press January 9, 2014 CuTRis was charged with assault this morning for allegedly hitting an alleged car thief who was allegedly stealing CuTRis' wife's car while it was warming up inside the open garage of the CuTRis private residence.

Dangers of Warming Your Car

I don't spend a lot of time warming up my car, but I do drive slowly when I first take off when it is cold. While talking about warming up my wife's car--since she hadn't driven it for two days when it was very cold, I was reminded that in most cities, it is illegal to leave your car running with the keys in it if you are not also in it. Apparently it is too much of a temptation for someone coming along who might want to steal it. My response was that hitting people with a baseball bat who were trying to steal my car that was warming up, would be too much of a temptation for me --and that would be my defense in court for assaulting someone who entered my open garage to steal my wife's car.
