What we have now under Trump in the USA, is that sick racist sexist crap that has been whispered forever and I can remember hearing it occasionally throughout my childhood. As an adult, I thought it was mostly gone, but it exists in especially rural areas. Those places where diversity does not really exist, seem to foster the most resentment against people who are different. That crap has spewed up and become normal now. It's shameful. While I'm the first to admit that liberalism got out of hand a few years ago, what's happening now is wrong, it's shameful and it really sucks. But there are still a lot of people who still think this is good. Their resentment has clouded the reality of the entirety of America being swallowed up by the rich and unscrupulous. Imagine if the CEO of a company was removed from his job, and then he organized a mob and they stormed the building and caused damage and death. Now imagine that this same former CEO was convicted of falsifying business records. Imagine he was indicted and paid off large sums of money for crimes such as sexual assault. Imagine the same person lied over and over and it was proven that he maliciously lied about immigrants, and other people. Imagine he used inflated numbers that could not exist in the scenarios in which he was using them. Then imagine, dire warnings from people who worked with him that he should never be in power again. And then, imagine that the company's board of directors rehired him to be CEO again.

If you ever wondered how the likes of Hitler and other dictators could gain power, now I guess we know. First they vilify a group of people. Then they inflame the prejudice and hatred of the paranoid. Pretty soon it doesn't matter if there is any truth in it at all because that hatred burns so hot.

Recently at my dad's funeral, I was reunited with some second cousins who I played with frequently when I was very young. Our families would get together sometimes. I haven't seen them since we were kids. I haven't thought much about them over time. But when I saw them again, a deep-seated memory arose inside of me. I can remember being at their house, in their neighborhood, when an older kid started picking on me. Instead of helping me or telling this other kid to stop, all of them joined together to laugh at my misfortune and call me names! I remember I felt quite alone and helpless and wasn't sure what to do at my young age. So as I said, I haven't thought about this for decades. But the memory arose shortly after I saw these two people. Apparently it was quite traumatic and stuck with me all these years even though it was buried. So if you think that bullying doesn't matter, I believe it does. I believe that calling people names, and vilifying certain groups...

The Russian government, more accurately the Putin Administration, has now made it a criminal offense to refer to the attack on Ukraine, with the words, "War," "Invasion," or "Assault." This is due to what the Putin Administration is calling fake news. This reminds me of former United States president Trump, who used the term fake news frequently when he was caught telling lies. Regardless, this will make journalism much more difficult for anyone under the influence of Putin's Russia. But I will try to break it down so that everyone is happy. From now on instead of using the word "War," we will use "Putin." Instead of using the word "Invasion," we will use "unprovoked attack." Instead of the word "Assault," we will use the word "murdering." In the interest of not spreading fake news, that means that, Putin's unprovoked attack, is murdering Ukrainian civilians.

A couple of days ago I was really upset to hear about this piece of crap who beat his 1-year-old son to death . If there is any good news, it's that the piece of crap was arrested yesterday. I like to walk. Today as a I was crossing at a busy intersection with the crossing signal , a car coming parallel from the other direction honked and the guy on the passenger side yelled something about "jaywalker" . The same thing happened to me and Larry about a month ago. Since I was actually crossing the absolute most legal way possible, the rude people must be either very stupid or have some warped emotional need to give others a hard time. The question that remains for me, is if these same guys are as rude to strangers when they are not in a moving vehicle? I think it is always easier to be rude (and "brave") when you are in a car and the person you are antagonizing is on foot.
