Donald Trump exhibits the behavior of someone covering up for their lack of academic ability. There is the bullying, inflated ego, bait and switch, making up alternative realities, and attacks on anyone who opposes his views. The attacks on education and his habit of promoting unqualified department leaders, also reinforces Trump's desire to make sure that smarter people won't interfere with his policies that lack intelligence and moral judgment. More recently, there is also age-related cognitive decline. Someone needs to "take away the keys," from this impaired individual, but instead, they just watch the accidents pile up.

The irony of what is about to happen to rural America, and the small-town people who have been supporting Donald Trump, is that the federal money that historically propped up their infrastructure is being pulled away. While some people applauded as programs to help minorities and immigrants were repealed, the social programs subsidizing such things as rural healthcare, media and education have now been targeted. This is further evidence that many people were fooled by a liar who used their own prejudices against them. What will be more interesting, is if these same people will be able to recognize their mistake as things begin to go bad for them.

His supporters attack the U.S. Capitol, and he pardons them. People protest his policies and he sends U.S. Marines to stop them. This is a dictator. Stop pretending this is for the good of the people.

I'm afraid I must part ways with Governor Tim Walz on the issue of remote work. I even had to chuckle, when I heard his reasoning for making state employees return to the office at least 50% of the time. That reasoning, is a tactic being used quite often recently, when decisions are made unilaterally and not by consensus. George Carlin was right. People throw a lot of big words and lofty language into things to make them sound more important than they are. I work remotely. If I want to collaborate with my team, I can do that just as quickly and perhaps more efficiently remotely than in the office. We have so many collaborative tools at our disposal, that messages and team meetings are an effective and normal part of our daily work life. It is not our responsibility to populate the downtown areas at our expense. Working remotely, saves fuel and time. While being very productive, I am also able to better care for my family. So, according to multiple news sources, the Trump Administration is planning to deal with the high cost of eggs, by vaccinating chickens instead of killing them. Of course, the irony is, that the same administration was/ is advocating against vaccinations for human beings. So, while vaccinations are supposedly bad for people, it's okay to directly add them to our food source. Even more striking, is how regardless of all of this hypocritical and contrary disinformation, there is still support for all of this destructive stupidity. One last thing, if the government is going to step in and save the chickens, will there need to be government employees to do that? Perhaps there could be a department of chicken efficiency?

While the legality of the Department of Government Efficiency that Trump and Musk madeup is still in question, immigrant, Elon Musk, has been given access to the government payment system which includes Social Security. So much for keeping us safe from immigrants.

Here's a little game I like to play with the US Postal Service. Even though our mail from December 5th and 6th completely disappeared, and was never delivered, they have delivered and redelivered this piece of mail four times, that I've tried to Return to Sender because the person doesn't live at my house.

I just got an email from my contact at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, where I have been known to volunteer as a (volunteer) park ranger. They are preparing for a government shutdown and closing the Refuge if that happens. The wildlife is busy packing up in case they have to leave.

The most fascinating thing about the January 6 Hearings, is not the bullying and deceit. Most reasonable people already knew that was happening. The true revelation is that the USA was well on its way to having an authoritarian dictator who would break laws and abuse trust to stay in power. This is also how Putin and others have remained in power. But the truly heartbreaking fact is, that regardless of the truth coming out, there are still legions of followers who will willingly follow Trump to hell. This should scare anyone, regardless of your opinions on issues or whether you tend to be liberal or conservative. Living under an authoritarian ruler is not something anyone should want.

Today the clinic told me my cloth mask isn't good enough anymore, the school district is talking about no longer requiring masks, and I think the Federal government is planning to send us all N95 masks. I'm so glad everything has been thought through and all are on the "same page..."

After watching a city truck and workers go down the block and dig holes, only to be followed minutes later by a second truck that filled the holes in, a man had to stop the second truck to ask what they were doing! That was when he found out that the guy who dropped the trees in the holes was on vacation.

So many things remind me of the show "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Because it seems that so often everything is made up and the points don't matter.

What will President Trump say at the State of the Union address? "I broke it?" I doubt it. Is the American public still "agreeing with him" as he keeps saying? I doubt it. Are the gun fanatics still behind him? Almost certainly, yes. Because after all, what else matters?

President Trump wants to build a wall between the USA and Mexico. He said Mexico would pay for it. Now if he doesn't get the money (from US taxpayers), he is threatening to shutdown the government. I'm old enough to remember the Berlin Wall . I really don't want that to happen again. I like being able to buy a cantaloupe that came from Mexico when it is winter in Minnesota.
