It seems that except for a particular segment of the U.S. population that has been conditioned to hate certain groups of people, and who fall into exhibiting the baser instincts of humanity, such as picking on the new kid, or someone who is different or disabled, everyone else in the world seems to be aware that Donald Trump is exhibiting the worst traits of humanity. Not only is he cruel and malevolent, but he is also mentally and physically defective, yet he is currently the leader of the United States of America. How sad is that? Furthermore, Trump refuses to follow established laws and is using financial and political leverage to destroy said laws, while he waves the flag and a Bible and sends the military into cities in the guise of fighting crime. The constant distraction, lies and misinformation seems to work on a portion of the population that is less educated and less tolerant of diversity--since the cruelty against marginalized groups is gratifying to them. This means that a person can openly carry a handgun without any type of permit or license. Places that are prohibited by state law still apply as "off limits" to any person who is open carrying a handgun. Now on day two of the Government Shutdown , I want to voice how proud I am of our political leaders for all of their continued bickering--at the cost of our nation and people. Keep up the "good work" you guys!!! I had planned a day of hiking with my son yesterday, and it just so happens that October 1st is the first day of the fiscal year , and the bureaucrats in Washington don't like to agree about things--so the wildlife refuge where I volunteer as a park ranger is shutdown (along with all the other "non-essential" federal government services). I think all of the animals were required to leave as well. Many of them could be seen, forlornly huddled together in a few local parks--waiting for the refuge to reopen. They're still waiting... Fortunately for me, I was able to spend a wonderful day at Lebanon Hills Regional Park instead--so my day was salvaged. I hope our leaders can get their collective $hit together soon.

My 2008 Ford Fusion is back in for a $750 fix on the continually defective rear brakes . I stopped buying GM because of known defects that were not fixed and now I am getting the same with Ford . So maybe I need to stop buying American made cars? 7/10/2013 Update: A Ford representative just contacted me regarding my comments to corporate. She informed me that she can not do anything to help me with this issue.

I like my 2008, Ford Fusion , except the rear disc brakes are defective. At 50,000 miles, I've already had the brakes wearout twice; get scored and last time--stick on one side. I'm told by my mechanic it is because of a poor design that incorporates the parking brake into the rear brake system. While there are other complaints on the WWW of this , Ford has merely noted my complaint and reacted to it by doing nothing.
