I had thought that it snowed overnight. The plow went by. I was going to put on my winter gear and go get the snow blower out. However, I found out from Donald Trump that it is actually Fentanyl! It was verified by nearly all of the Republican Party! So now, I'm going to put on a hazmat suit and go get out the Fentanyl blower. Thanks a lot Canada!

While social media is a good way to keep up with friends and family, the amount of outside, unwanted, blatantly lying posts, and false stories, is astounding. Nearly everything is a lie. This is definitely on purpose. It's meant to make it nearly impossible to know what is true or false. It allows for the control of those who believe in the nonsense. Reality is being shaped by those who want control. Do a little research before you push the share button and spread more lies and hate.

When the lies outweigh any truth by a hundredfold, and when some of them can't be proven until it's too late, such as climate change, we can still focus in on easily verifiable lies.

Fox News, famous for its $787 Million settlement for publicly lying about the 2020 Presidential election, seems to be the only place that Donald Trump will feel safe enough to debate Kamala Harris . One needs only to look at Fox News , to realize that it has less credibility than The Onion . But likely, anyone who believes (or chooses to support) Trump's lame allegations that this or that thing is, "the worst ever in history," or the "best ever in history," won’t probably realize (or choose to realize) that Trump (and probably them too) need to study history , and use a source that didn’t have to settle for $787 Million to avoid a trial for lying.

I see a flaw in a political position that protects the rights of the unborn, and simultaneously promotes guns while gun violence destroys the living. I find it ironic that the same political views that say they promote freedom, are simultaneously working to restrict personal choices of health and lifestyle. The reason the truth is being altered, is because the arguments simply aren't logical on their own merit.

One year ago, an attempt was made to violently overthrow the U.S. government to install a dictatorship. Whether you like the winner or not, you do get to vote. We almost lost that right last year.

Just to reiterate something I've said before because some people don't seem to understand. If I make a negative comment against either the Democrats or the Republicans, that does not mean I am siding with the opposite. If I make a statement about liberals or conservatives, that is not an endorsement for the other side. Once you go too far either direction, you enter what I consider dumb land. Basically, I think both sides are full of crap. The extremes are filled with people who tell lies for political gain. It is very damaging. The only real truth lies somewhere in between. The current trend is to take 10% of the truth and use it to propagate the 90% of lies. This is why we can't get past race, and we can't get past covid-19. Ask yourself who is benefiting from all of this fighting. It is all political. And some of it is even starting from outside of our borders. Three children have been shot in Minneapolis in three weeks. 185 people have been shot in Minneapolis in (almost) five months. White police were not responsible for this. On May 2, 2021, in St. Paul, 173 shots were fired in a 3-hour span, injuring seven people. It might be a good time to address the real issue. At least if we want to be truthful that these shootings are unacceptable.

The American News Media is masterfully manipulating public opinion by what they choose to tell, and what they choose to ignore. It may be the single most destructive force in the way of realistic social reform and unity. The public should demand the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. There are multiple sides and factors to every issue. Constantly showing only one side never gives the holistic perspective. It creates misinformation and misdirection. This is why despite all the effort, nothing gets solved.

Now as the country swings back from the far right, it would be great if it could stop in the middle before swinging to the far left. There is much healing to do, and over compensation won't fix things. Likewise, cheering mediocre accomplishments because it is such a (welcome) change or it is politically correct, will only embolden the opposition to think they are/were correct. The truth has been damaged, but we can (and should) try to reestablish it.

The United States of America is scheduled for a trumpectomy in 13 days. His brainwashed legions are still at it. I've now seen ridiculous claims that yesterday's insurrection was staged by the left. I've made my belief clear that both right and left have forsaken the truth; particularly where social media and news media are concerned. That means we need to rely on our own sense of decency and logic to get through the next two weeks. I don't believe this is over or that a peaceful transition of power is for certain. A percentage of the population has been radicalized and truth, logic and democratic principles have been replaced. These self proclaimed patriots, are no longer aware or concerned with the welfare of our democratic union or its citizens. Furthermore, we are still dealing with a pandemic. Stay safe. Stay smart. And don't fall for the continuous disinformation that will keep coming at us.
