No food until you allow your Healthcare to be taken away. Some countries have both. But that cuts into billionaires' profits. That's why it doesn't work in the USA.

I had the opportunity to vote for my favorite piece in an art show. The 3D sculpture I chose, stood out from the rest.

The irony of what is about to happen to rural America, and the small-town people who have been supporting Donald Trump, is that the federal money that historically propped up their infrastructure is being pulled away. While some people applauded as programs to help minorities and immigrants were repealed, the social programs subsidizing such things as rural healthcare, media and education have now been targeted. This is further evidence that many people were fooled by a liar who used their own prejudices against them. What will be more interesting, is if these same people will be able to recognize their mistake as things begin to go bad for them.

For the entire summer, my family has been dealing with my dad's age and Parkinson's related decline. After a fall in June he ended up in the hospital, and then in Transitional Care, before we then had to find a place for him to get the care he needed that was now too much for my elderly mother to provide. We did find a place that seemed good and they said they would only charge for what he needed. They had good reviews. This place was expensive and didn't provide all the services they charged for. Pricing was "a la carte" which really meant they charged for everything. There were many caring staff, but the Health and Wellness Director, Michelle Allen used bullying when we had concerns. She routinely threatened to raise the price when we had questions, and she blamed inappropriate treatment on dad's dementia. I early voted today. I believe in the secrecy of the ballot, so I'm not going to say who I voted for president. However, I did NOT vote for anyone who lies about pretty much everything and wants to be a fascist dictator.

I'm not going to vote by mail. The post office just sent me a piece of envelope with my return address that also had my credit card company's name on the inside piece of the envelope. Apparently they destroyed my payment for my credit card. The 45th president worked hard to ruin the postal service, to prevent poor people from voting--and this election is important enough so I will go vote in-person to make sure my vote counts.

I "like" the story about the politicians who got what they asked for on the border issue, but since they are controlled by a contrarian who is only interested in his own power, they decided to put the interests of every citizen in the country behind that of one rich dictator-want-to-be. Still, there are conservative voters, who support them, because they believe in the doctrine of paranoid intolerance.

Seven years ago a guy having a road rage attack, chased my car for several miles while pointing a gun at me. Had I pulled into a dead-end alley rather than a police station parking lot, I might be dead. When the police caught up to the guy, they found the Glock 9mm I had described on the seat of the truck. It had a high-capacity clip. There was also a filet knife in the door of his truck. He told the officer that I was (his words written in the police report) a "raghead from Pakistan." He also had a small amount of marijuana. They released him because he had a permit to carry a gun; and he said he never pulled the gun out. Last year I needed to see a medical specialist. It took two months to get in. After a scan, it took two more months to get in for the follow-up. Fortunately, the doctor said I was okay. But it took four months to find that out. The trump has now advised everyone to vote twice. Once by mail, and then again in person. Doing so is illegal. It also defeats the purpose of mail-in voting in order to stop the spread of COVID-19. So I'm going to go one better. I plan on voting on horseback wearing a tutu. Not only is it not illegal, but it is a more intelligent option than the one the president has advised.
