Hit by the Spirit of Christmas!

Hello from Mom...

My wife was asking me about her snake plant because something was growing in it. I told her that it was about to bloom. She had lots of questions so I told her to Google it. Apparently snake plants rarely bloom. This one used to belong to my mother-in-law before she died. I told my wife that her mom was just saying "hello."

Bear Clan

While wearing a T-shirt with a bear picture on it, an American Indian man told me he was "Bear Clan." I said, "me too." When he questioned this, I said, "When I was 23, I camped in SE Alaska where Brown Bears were abundant and dominant. I saw 9 with no moat or fence between us. My late friend John and I endured a lot that week--until the float plane returned for us. My life was forever changed by the experience." The man had listened quietly until I finished, and then he replied, "yes, you are Bear Clan." By that, he meant I understood the Bear's Spirit.

Blessed Are the Peacemakers

When I saw this Bible verse on the Minnesota State Capitol grounds, I thought I had better photograph it. It is only a matter of time before someone gets upset about a Christian quote/symbol in a government/public place and demands that it is removed.

If You Choose to Believe in Heaven

If you choose to believe that there is a heaven, then perhaps you should also choose to believe that there are more ways than only one to get there. If I want to go home from wherever I might be, there are not only multiple roads I could drive, but there are multiple methods as well. If I am not in a hurry I might walk. If I am very far away I may choose to fly. Ultimately I will make it home; barring any unfortunate disasters that are always possible. So too, it is likely that if Heaven is accessible to one religion or doctrine, it is also available to others. Your way may not be my way, but who can say which is better? Kevin J. Curtis
