The irony of what is about to happen to rural America, and the small-town people who have been supporting Donald Trump, is that the federal money that historically propped up their infrastructure is being pulled away. While some people applauded as programs to help minorities and immigrants were repealed, the social programs subsidizing such things as rural healthcare, media and education have now been targeted. This is further evidence that many people were fooled by a liar who used their own prejudices against them. What will be more interesting, is if these same people will be able to recognize their mistake as things begin to go bad for them.

 

So if Donald Trump wants to cut taxes for the poor and the rich, doesn't that mean the middle class will end up paying even more than they already do? I mean, doesn't the middle class pay more than their share already? To be fair, when I heard Trump on the news last evening, I thought he said he wanted to cut taxes for the middle class too.

It looks like it needs a few more million dollars added to the cost to finish it...

There is some political fighting going on now regarding Minnesota's (alleged) 1.9 Billion dollar surplus . So I thought I would give my opinion. 1. Don't spend it stupidly by sending everyone a (small) check to give it back like when Jesse Ventura was governor. 2. Give money back to the schools that was taken when there was a budget shortage not so long ago. 3. Save some of the money to use NEXT TIME there is a budget shortage. 4. Why are my taxes so high if we have extra money? 5. How about fixing some of the bad roads and bridges? 6. The environment is always a good place to put extra money.

Hey Vikings ! Thanks a lot for paying some more for YOUR new (way over budget) stadium—because some of us TAXPAYERS are a little "short" right now from trying to make ends meet. I hope this won't cut into your millions of dollars in profit too much! Yay team! You guys are great... I mean except for sucking on the field and making us buy your stadium and stuff...

Medical Marijuana Sale This Weekend UnAssociated Press April 4, 2014 As the debate over Medical Marijuana continues in Minnesota, all sides have decided to come together this weekend on the Minnesota State Capitol lawn for the purpose of buying and selling Marijuana for medicinal purposes. The UnAssociated Press is not sure if the mother who said Governor Dayton told her to buy it illegally will be there, but hundreds will be hanging out on the State Capitol lawn, listening to music and eating chips on Saturday April 5th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and Sunday April 6th from Noon to 3:00 PM. Vendors will be present with munchies and a tax booth will be provided by the IRS where tax stamps can be purchased; no questions asked.

I feel bad about what is happening in the Ukraine and I don't trust Putin and Russia . But how can the USA afford to send a billion dollars in aid to the Ukraine ? My wife and I just paid a buttload in taxes for 2013. Is this what we are paying for? I would rather spend it on our children here in the United States of America.

CuTRis Donates Temple UnAssociated press September 22, 2013 CuTRis has apparently donated his temple to a group of men who were all wearing red robes. Critics say CuTRis did this as a tax dodge --which is what he was trying to accomplish in the first place. When asked to comment about these allegations, CuTRis began speaking in the Ket language ; which no one understood.

CuTRis was peering out of the nest when this photo was taken. No further information was available about CuTRis or the eagle's nest at the time this story was printed--though speculation is that CuTRis may have purchased the nest from the eagles as a tax write off . Since the trend is to tax cigarettes and alcohol to support the failing government budget --especially here in Minnesota, I would like to offer my sincere thanks to everyone who smokes and drinks. We couldn't do it without you!

If it is true that nothing is certain except death and taxes , the weekend was about both. We had a funeral to attend Saturday and also a tax appointment. Taxes can be more complicated when you sell and buy property. My wife also attended the funeral Sunday evening, as it was an all weekend event. This morning we are welcoming the week and a snowstorm.

Funny... I'm 'making' the same amount I was making in 2012, but I'm getting less money...
