Republicans in Minnesota are up in arms about fraud that has gone on for years. Trump grossly inflated the numbers, and they're repeating it and pointing at Democrats. Yet, they are totally blind to the fraud Trump and family are involved in, and the cost to Americans as prices rise and his wars rage on. There have been 3 shootings, one made national news, in the last 2 days in the Twin Cities area. And I used to work in a place in Minneapolis where horrible stuff happened and it never made the news. So, now I want the idiot who said that if guns kill people, then spoons make people fat--to tell me that one again. I realize this person is scared of the world and has to carry a gun everywhere, but for gods sake, think of the children who have been killed because you're afraid that you might lose your gun, and that's not even going to happen.

In the USA, the Republican right, is being run by a dictator. But the Democratic left, has not yet reached the realization, that it was their actions that created this backlash. Holding police and teachers to high standards is a good thing. But not when you allow certain demographics to avoid taking responsibility for their own actions. Both political parties are represented by wealthy special interests. Middle America has no consistent representation, and that needs to change. We need fairness and logic, both of which are lacking in the 2-party system.

Oh the irony of listening to federal government appointees, saying that fraud and the stealing of taxpayers' money will not be tolerated (in Minnesota), when that is precisely what the President, his family and friends are doing...

As bad as it is that someone tried to attack government officials and journalists in a ballroom in Washington DC, my sympathies are more with the students and teachers around the country, who live with the day to day realization that a gunman could attack their school. And in that case, there would be no secret service agents to intervene. On the subject of the secret service, it certainly seems lucky for everyone, that these brave, well trained people were not replaced by Fox News, anchors or other television personalities. What if the USA tried sending real diplomats to meet with Iran? Sending a real-estate investor and Trump's son-in-law hasn't worked multiple times.

The issue of bad behavior and violence in schools has gotten worse not better. And it could be, because the trend is to manipulate the numbers on spreadsheets, rather than to address the issues of the bad behavior. Because certain demographics show up more often for behavior problems, the answer from governing bodies and echoed by administrators, is to stop targeting those individuals. The result is that teachers have to play the "game," of not reporting incidents, or asking for help. Because if they do, the behavior problems are often "thrown back at them," as if it is due to their (lack of) teaching ability. The true answer lies in finding out why certain groups have more behavior issues, rather than not reporting them—just to manipulate the numbers. The fix involves trying to understand and alleviate the problems at their source. Remember, a few years ago when people were putting stickers on the gas pumps that showed Joe Biden, pointing at the price and saying, "I did that!" I miss those days when literally everything was cheaper, and unemployment wasn't so rampant. It kind of makes you wonder what life would be like if we didn't have a President who was a criminally insane narcissist. We need a new version of everything in the USA. We need a new version that isn't a 2-party system. We need a new version of DEI that is actually fair and equitable and not just reversed. You can't have these extremes of left and right, because they start to become similar after a while--and they, in no way, represent the rest of the population.
