It was 51° Fahrenheit and foggy in Grand Marais when we turned onto the Gunflint Trail. In no time, it was sunny and 85°F. The trail is the "driveway" to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. The Gunflint Trail is a 57 mile (92 kilometer) long, 2-lane road through some major wilderness. To go further, you need a canoe. Today, it was sunny and hot. Near the end of the trail, we visited, Chik-wauk Museum, and fished in Gull Lake. When we returned to Grand Marais, the fog was still there and it was 57°. It was a perfect chance hike around Artist's Point, and fish in Lake Superior.
