It is quite possible that all of the negative focus on racism in our society, is only making the issue worse. My family is biracial, and multicultural--and we simply cannot let all of that continuous negativity into our daily lives. We identify as a family, and the other labels, while they may exist, are simply not that important. Racism is learned. So while we may agree it is unwanted, constant reference and exposure helps to keep it alive.
