Christoper Columbus Memorial

Christopher Columbus was a hero when I was a child. But that was before the era of political correctness and a lot has changed since then. "Columbus Day" is no longer a "holiday" like it was when I was a kid in school. Of course, back then, "Martin Luther King Day" was not a holiday. Columbus has now been linked to slavery and crimes against indigenous peoples.

So, I was quite surprised to find a Christopher Columbus memorial (from 1931) on the Minnesota State Capitol grounds!
