Every year, something grows in the compost pit. It comes up on its own, and always is a surprise. It's never the same combination of things. Due to the weather forecast, I decided to salvage whatever I could find growing in there today. I think this year's "surprise bag" is rather fun!

My second fresh Salsa of 2022 is much hotter than the first! I used a red jalapeño pepper that Dave Robinson gave me. It's really good and very addictive...

Tonight's forecast will be chili.

CuTRis Plans Own DART Mission UnAssociated Press September 28, 2022 CuTRis announced plans to duplicate the (DART) Double Asteroid Redirection Test . But instead of using a $69 million craft, he will be shooting a Dart Storage container at an asteroid with a giant slingshot! If all goes as planned, CuTRis believes that he will be able to redirect asteroids at only a fraction of the cost that NASA can do it.

My virtual doctor appointment lasted 3 minutes and they billed $292. It took 2 months to get the appointment, and then one test was mistakenly not done, and needed to be redone. But this is supposedly better than national health insurance? That's a crock of crap.

The beans came late this year. Then the heat and drought shriveled them up. Then late summer rains came and they started growing when they should be dying. Then the deer pushed through the net and ate them. But in spite of everything that happened, we had fresh beans again tonight.

Don't decide too much about a person from a particular political affiliation, religion, racial demographic, ethnicity or gender if they react negatively when confronted with an opposing point-of-view. Rather, consider that it's people who embrace extremes, who have less logic and substance to rely on, who often compensate for this by resorting to abuse and anger.

Maybe I'm a bad cook? My wife does this to me a lot. Dinner is ready, it's almost 6:00 p.m., but my wife and son are not home yet...
