Republicans in Minnesota are up in arms about fraud that has gone on for years. Trump grossly inflated the numbers, and they're repeating it and pointing at Democrats. Yet, they are totally blind to the fraud Trump and family are involved in, and the cost to Americans as prices rise and his wars rage on. Let's build a ballroom and sell off some national parkland...

This election is not about individuals. It's about voting against the party that won't check the corrupt policies of their criminally demented leader.

With so many who are close to the industry warning us about the dangers of AI, this should be taken seriously. Fiction and movies have warned us about this threat for years, and much that was fiction, becomes fact over time. But the best argument for caution with AI, is that Donald Trump thinks the concerns are, "a hoax." His judgment is usually wrong, and in itself, justifies creating AI safety regulations.

I slept late this morning. I dreamed that I met the President. I called him a bass turd. He wasn't happy about that. I had seen a video of him being nasty to reporters because they asked him about buying votes for $5000, and also what happened to the other money he promised. He didn't like that. I sat awake afterward, wondering what it meant. I hope it means that people won't sell their freedom for lies and empty promises. I hope it means that patriots value their democracy more than a demented wannabe king. I hope it means that Christians will know the antichrist when they see him. I have faith that we needed to see how bad politics had gotten in the USA, for average Americans, before we can clean it up and rejoin the rest of the World. We are so much better than this.

There have been 3 shootings, one made national news, in the last 2 days in the Twin Cities area. And I used to work in a place in Minneapolis where horrible stuff happened and it never made the news. So, now I want the idiot who said that if guns kill people, then spoons make people fat--to tell me that one again. I realize this person is scared of the world and has to carry a gun everywhere, but for gods sake, think of the children who have been killed because you're afraid that you might lose your gun, and that's not even going to happen.

I noticed the American Water Lotus were blooming in a nearby lake that we canoe and go fishing in. So, today we went to see them. We also did a little fishing, and my wife caught a nice sunfish that we released. The two swans that we saw in late June were still there. They don't appear to have ever tried to hatch the eggs we saw strewn about on the island. I still think that perhaps they are a young pair, not yet ready to raise a family. We also saw Water-lilies. But it was the Lotus that were spectacular at this time of the year.

I'm weary of all of the renaming of things over the past few years. But as long as we're on the subject, how about we rename you, "Idiot Rapist Felon Loser."

We love the old Modeline floor lamp. I had rewired it a long time ago, when the switch broke and so I removed it. I used it in my bedroom at my condo, because there was a wall switch that operated an outlet, and there was no other light in the bedroom. Many years ago, when I was scoring academic tests, I was the team lead, and I sat in back of my team and there wasn't a lot of light back there. So, I brought this light to work, and put it by my desk. It was quite the topic of conversation of everybody working there. Someone called it the "waterheater lamp," and the name stuck. My parents originally got the lamp, and I "inherited" it. Recently, it was growing dim, and it wasn't the bulbs. Finally, I decided it was time to either throw it away, or try to rebuild it. Home Depot didn't have the parts, but of course, Ace Hardware did. It took me several hours because you have to put everything back together in order--because there's a cord running throug...
