Trump Dumb Luck is Not Immunity

Just because there is no one within the Trump organization who will speak out against the idiotic policies, interviews and posts that the President participates in daily, it does not mean that this inbred and completely backward intellectualism is immune to repercussions at some point. As the Timothy Treadwell story has demonstrated to us, getting away with doing really stupid things over and over might mean that you are lucky, but it doesn't mean that you are immune. Although, by the time the smarter people are proven correct, someone with grand notions about themselves might become bear food.

Colder than a Well Digger's Ass

It's colder than a polar bear's ass on the shady side of an iceberg. -24 degrees Celsius

It's Probably Fake

Try to remember that we've entered a new era, where most of the videos, pictures and stories on social media, are AI generated fabrications that are not representative of facts.

Rabbit 3

The snow revealed the rabbits were still digging under the deck. This morning, at −5°F, I finally had one in the live trap. It looked cold, and I released it at the same place where the others I caught were let go a couple of months earlier.

Questions for Trump Supporters

Here are some easy questions, if you are still supporting Donald Trump. 1. Do your groceries cost more or less now than they did a year ago? 2. Does your health care cost more or less than it did a year ago? 3. Are you comfortable with your country arresting people and sending them to foreign prisons without a trial? 4. Do you want the military to be forcing how you live your daily life? 5. Would you rather have your tax dollars to be feeding hungry children, or going to benefit billionaires? 6. Do you prefer your legal system to be impartial?Or would you rather that it followed the doctrine of a supreme leader? 7. ICE X2

Here in Minnesota, we currently have two kinds of ice. The one in the picture is the preferred one.

Admiralty

A friend asked to see nature photos. I chose this one from Google Earth. It was where I camped some three plus decades ago, with my late friend, John. I'm sorry you can't see the water and the spruce and the hemlock growing up toward the snow capped mountain peaks. But I see it. I can see the seal, the eagles and the brief summer darkness and the rain. I still feel the uneasy exhilaration of watching brown bears looking across the sand and sedge at me. I can still feel the suction of the bog pulling my leg down, a few minutes after the float plane left. I still know the weight of my backpack as I slipped it off and pulled my leg free. I can feel the roughness of the starfish we tossed back into the water after low tide stranded them. I still feel the rocks and my body falling and the Devils Club ripping my hand as it stopped my fall. The majestic island, the calls of the ravens in the kingdom of the Alaskan Brown Bears is forever etched upon my soul. -KJC

The Bowling...

A couple guys asked me if I was giving him pointers. I said "no, he's better than I am." But then, I did tell him about something I noticed. I don't know whether it helped or not, but his last game was outstanding.

Hey Teacher!

Today, I jumped headfirst into substitute teaching. Just to make it more interesting, I did a full day in middle school, in math class--which was my least favorite subject when I was that age. With the Tech industry laying off workers, and needing a job with flexibility, this is currently my solution. -Mr. C

US Federal ICE Agents in Minnesota

ICE agents are in the Twin Cities, singling out entire ethnic groups, trying to shore-up Trump's declining popularity. Racism is still his main source of power with his supporters. While navigating the cognitive dissonance, ask yourself why the President who is bombing alleged drug traffickers in the Caribbean, has pardoned former Honduras President Juan Orlando Hernández, sentenced last year to 45 years in prison for his role in a drug trafficking operation that moved hundreds of tons of cocaine into the United States of America.

"Grayson's Choice of Adventures"

My son wouldn't let me off-the-hook again this year. When I asked what he wanted for his birthday and Christmas, it was the same answer, "a book written by dad." Amazon requires a minimum of 78 pages, and Barnes and Noble has really difficult formatting... but I cranked one out. It's a choose your own adventure. You can find it at the link below—but don't tell Grayson about it until after Christmas! https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/graysons-choice-of-adventures-kevin-curtis/1148826696 Here are my other book locations... Presents Are Not Important

Responsibility, Truth, and the End of the Trump Regime

As we are approaching the end of tolerance for the lies of Trump and his enablers, the liberal left should accept some responsibility for the lies and racial biases that precipitated the backlash that put Trump in power. Only by recognizing the truth, and actual equality for everyone, will we be able to right the wrongs of the past, rather than just swinging wildly from one extreme to the other.
