American Revolution Reenactment

During breakfast this morning, my first grader son was asking about the American Revolution. So we did a re-enactment using markers, chocolate Easter eggs, and colored pencils. We covered many things, such as, how the colonists used guerrilla tactics versus how the English troops liked to line up across from their enemy. We also covered the midnight ride of Paul Revere, and the Boston Tea Party. In the end, I'm happy to say that the chocolate Easter eggs, aka the colonists, came out victorious. But we did have to give credit to the colored pencils, aka the French Navy, for preventing reinforcements from changing the outcome.

"Defective Mouse"

Description: (required) The wireless mouse in the conference room is not working. We replaced the battery, but there doesn't seem to be any signal. It may be broken or perhaps all our batteries are bad. CuTRis 04/25/2019 08:38:03 The batteries were installed backwards (again) in the mouse and the batteries were dead in the keyboard. All is working now.

Old Cedar Bridge

The Passive Aggressor

The book was missing. It had happened before. She didn't like anything that represented Christianity. Well... Christmas was OK because it was just about presents. But when her husband had bought a "Children's Bible Stories" book for their son, she quietly "got rid of it." He simply wanted his child to be exposed to both their cultures. He also knew how biblical knowledge increased overall literacy. So, when he told the boy he should read about what Easter really was, they found that the book was missing. He searched everywhere but it was gone. She denied knowing what happened to it and refused to look him in the eye. Then, as many people do, she became angry at him for accusing her. Knowing that he was dealing with someone who always behaved as if she was right and never worried about either logic or how he felt, he simply went to the bookstore to replace the book. His son went with him to help pick it out. She did not answer when he asked her if she w...

Only Justice for Aranda

https://abcnews.go.com/US/man-threw-year-mall-america-balcony-tells-police/story?id=62423602 For Emmanuel Aranda, who threw a 5-year-old child from the 3rd floor of the Mall of America, there is only one fitting punishment. He should suffer the same fate. Whatever problems the man has, he completely lost all my sympathy. Anyone who hurts or kills a child deserves only pain and death. This is all I will say about this, except that I pray that this child does not have permanent damage.

Diversity by Force

I find it discouraging that Americans are being force-fed diversity. When everything is mandated by government and employers, it isn't real. When the media only shows half the story it distorts the truth. It creates a backlash (like how Trump became President). No one likes to be called-out as the bad guy. No one likes to be forgotten as having "no culture." No one wants to be forced to accept someone of another race who they would not accept (for other reasons) if they were both the same race. If you don't like this, you are probably a fake liberal. What is real , is that some of us have friends who are not the same race as us. Some of us have family who are different races than we are. We love these people for real reasons. Sometimes we argue with them and sometimes they are wrong and sometimes they are right. But they are not always right; even if they are a different race than we are. Because that is real life.

The Shitfuk Institute

Shitfuk Institute By Kevin J. Curtis Copyright 2019               He was employed in the lowest of the low jobs known to humankind. He worked the help-desk at the Shitfuk Institute. While others on the upper floors enjoyed rank and status, the help-desk worked in the basement below the basement. Cleaning up technological messes was their primary focus. Each day, new work and responsibilities were given to the help-desk team with no thought or planning. Data was important to management, so they manipulated the numbers with great zealousness.                He had joined the Shitfuk Institute two years earlier and was originally proud to be part of Shitfuk Industries, headquartered at 456 Bada Bing Road. The corporation had been created a hundred years earlier by a retired army major named, Hugh G. Shitfuk. Major Shitfuk had been instrumental i...

Warner Road Under Water

When Diversity Fails

When your coworker spends his/her days goofing off or watching Internet videos, and when the boss tells him/her to stop and do some work-and he/she says "let's go talk to HR," and then all correction attempts stop, you can be sure that diversity protection has failed its true purpose.  I saw it 20 years ago, and it is still happening now. When accountability is undermined, the organization begins to erode. It's not the way it was intended to be used, but unchecked liberal thinking has destroyed the true benefits of it. Everyone needs to be accountable, not just some people. If everyone deserves equal benefits, then everyone must share equal accountability.

Grilling Resumes

CuTRis Paid a Lot of Money to Go to College

CuTRis Paid a Lot of Money to Go to College UnAssociated Press March 13, 2019 Amidst the Hollywood Actors College Admission Cheating Scandal , news came out today that CuTRis had to pay for his own University of Minnesota education and was unable to get any financial assistance. In order to do this, he worked full-time in the horticulture/landscape industry while taking part-time classes. Since that time, the University of Minnesota changed the rules so part-time students could never move up in the registration queue—effectively destroying the option of working your way through school (unless you are a full-time student). People everywhere are shocked... and stunned that CuTRis would do such a scandalous thing in order to get his degree from a state university.

Jussie Smollett's Race Card

Jussie Smollett's Race Card is About to be Declined. https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/24/us/smollett-race-blake-analysis/index.html What some people are just now seeing in this story, I witnessed firsthand over 15 years ago while working for Hennepin County. I'm not sure why some people want to fuel the fire of racial hostilities with dishonesty, but it was rampant then and it is rampant now. Until people can start being truthful, equality will never exist — and it isn't simply a matter of one group discriminating against another. It is about dishonesty and pushing personal agendas.

CuTRis Throws Hat in Race

CuTRis Throws Hat in Race UnAssociated Press February 21, 2019 While watching a marathon in Tokyo, Montana, CuTRis was asked if he was going to throw his hat in the race for President. CuTRis responded by actually throwing his hat in the race he was watching! After several racers tripped on the hat, which caused a chain reaction—culminating in the ultimate destruction of a protester's bullhorn, CuTRis said he wasn't sure right now .

Record Cold Weather

After (most) schools were closed in the Twin Cities for snow and cold, they reopened today. Morning temperatures were around -28 degrees Fahrenheit (-33C) and the highs were also below zero. Wind chills were sometimes -50F.

Metro PCS: Customer Disservice

Up until I had my first phone problem, I would have said Metro by T-Mobile was a great phone company. However, their customer service is designed to wear you down. They tell you over and over "I will put you on hold for less than 2 minutes"--and then they come back (usually) in 10. They never follow-up and when I wanted a credit for spending 9 hours and buying a new phone (I didn't need) that didn't solve the problem, they refused. Obviously they like the money better than my business. Update: Feb. 12, 2019 Somewhere, somehow my dissatisfaction ended up being noticed by Kevin G. who finally listened to me and made great strides in setting things right!

Winter Weather Finally Arrived

...HISTORIC COLD EXPECTED TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING... Wind chills are expected to fall to 25 below to 35 below zero today. Dangerous wind chills of 45 below to 65 below zero are expected for most of the period from Tuesday night through Thursday morning. This is a life-threatening situation for those spending any prolonged period outdoors without proper clothing. A Wind Chill Warning is in effect from Tuesday through Thursday morning area wide. Record low temperatures are possible in the Twin Cities Wednesday morning and Thursday morning. The record for Wednesday is 30 below zero and the record for Thursday is 27 below zero. In addition, brisk winds today will lead to areas of blowing snow across western and southern Minnesota. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect in these areas from 6 AM to 6 PM today.

Phone Issues with Metro PCS

I spent an entire Sunday trying to get my text messaging fixed. I wiped my phone (and all my data) in the attempt and even purchased a new phone. I still cannot send texts and no resolution or credit to my account... Is it time to say goodbye to Metro PCS now too?

State of the Union: Broken
