Packing up the canoe and fishing gear takes some time. The 2 mile drive to the closest lake does not. But we had fun. The Bald Eagle that we saw a few times passed overhead too quickly for a picture. But the American Water Lotus plants were absolutely stunning!

Saying that "prayer is not enough," when children get shot at school, is NOT being, "anti-prayer." It IS being "anti-do-nothing," like those who value living children less than they value guns (or unborn children). It's time to call-out the hypocrisy.

It seems that except for a particular segment of the U.S. population that has been conditioned to hate certain groups of people, and who fall into exhibiting the baser instincts of humanity, such as picking on the new kid, or someone who is different or disabled, everyone else in the world seems to be aware that Donald Trump is exhibiting the worst traits of humanity. Not only is he cruel and malevolent, but he is also mentally and physically defective, yet he is currently the leader of the United States of America. How sad is that? Furthermore, Trump refuses to follow established laws and is using financial and political leverage to destroy said laws, while he waves the flag and a Bible and sends the military into cities in the guise of fighting crime. The constant distraction, lies and misinformation seems to work on a portion of the population that is less educated and less tolerant of diversity--since the cruelty against marginalized groups is gratifying to them. Neng refinished an heirloom piece of furniture for a woman. It was super dirty and in pieces when it arrived. She worked really long and hard on it. Around the time of covid, when I got laid off from my tech support job at the Minnesota Historical Society, people were upset with me for being a conservative. I didn't hate police. I even lost friends. I also had to leave a Facebook group for those laidoff from MNHS because of multiple attacks and "cancel culture." Fast forward to now, and conservatives get upset with me for being a liberal. Because I despise Trump, fascists, racism and billionaire authoritarianism. The truth is, I was, and still am, right here... in the middle. The truth and justice seem to be here too. Don't be fooled by political polarity. I'm not one, because I favor the other. My stance is strictly by issue, and not by party. The 2-party system is broken and their politics are not representative of me. I haven't changed. The political pendulum changed. I'm still right in the middle.

Either Trump thinks he's going to Russia on Friday, or he's planning to give Alaska to Putin. He's a senial deranged old man.

I was at Aldi, returning my cart when a Somali guy was pulling on the carts. Of course, they wouldn't come loose--and I told him you need a quarter to get a cart. Then he walked away, like he wasn't sure what he should do. So I asked him if he needed a quarter and gave him mine. He smiled and thanked me. It was an easy choice to help, because it was the opposite of what Donald Trump would do, especially for an immigrant. If you don't like what our president stands for, do the opposite of what he does, and fill the world with acts of kindness. Feel free to talk about these acts of kindness, so that we can counteract the negativity that is currently staining our world.
