Turkeys & Keeshonds

This morning at breakfast we were treated to the roving band of turkeys. For a while, our house was completely surrounded front and back. In the picture you can see a house where three bored Keeshond dogs live. These dogs bark incessantly and can do so at any time of the day or night, because they are able to go in and out of the house at will. So if I step out into my backyard, they bark at me. But since the turkeys have been in their yard and ours, they have been completely absent and quiet! I can only surmise, that these dogs must be afraid of the turkeys which is quite amusing. I was even able to walk to the compost pit this morning with no dogs barking at me, and the turkeys paid little attention to me.
