I've Heard Too Many Lies...

The video, now on CNN, is very disturbing. It is disturbing because a man is dying from a gunshot wound. It is disturbing because the officer who shot him is still pointing his weapon at him. It is disturbing because we don't see what happened prior to the fatal shot. We don't see any reason for it; because the video starts after the man has been shot. It is disturbing because it happened close to home. But most disturbing of all, may be that the man's girlfriend was posting it live on Facebook—which I have to say, would not be what I would be doing in her position. In fact, an angry commentary of the whole thing (which while sensationalizing it, CNN also found that they must "bleep" out much of the audio) would not be my primary concern at that moment. Is that what you are supposed to do??? If someone you care about is shot right next to you do you grab your phone and make sure to get it on Facebook?

The entire thing is so very disturbing. And I (and everyone else) have been lied to on more than one occasion—so I will not be making any unfounded judgements, attending any protests or accepting any BLM rhetoric. But the police had better come up with some evidence to support this shooting and they had better do it sooner rather than later.

Note * The video link at the top is the closest to the original CNN video that was posted and later replaced. For some reason, the video on Youtube seems to be a reverse image--as the driver's side of the car appears to be on the right. The original video I viewed was short, had much audio "bleeped" out and mostly showed a man dying.

Missing Data?

In my time working with data, I have found an almost perfect one to one relationship between if the data is not in the files that were loaded, it will also not be in the data warehouse after the files are loaded.
