Minority

He was aware that he was different. He was the only white dude in the neighborhood. All the others were of a different race. They all knew him though, and usually he got along fine with everyone. Usually race didn't come up, except on rare occasions. They all liked the same things. They liked to spend warm summer days swimming in the lake. They hung-out around the dock, eating and chasing each other around. Life was good--as long nobody excluded him because of his color…
