U.S.A. Dictator

His supporters attack the U.S. Capitol, and he pardons them. People protest his policies and he sends U.S. Marines to stop them. This is a dictator. Stop pretending this is for the good of the people.

Now vs Then

Today if your kid complains about something, you're supposed to stop and talk about their feelings. When I was a kid, if a wild animal was attacking you, both you and the animal stopped when the adult in charge yelled, "what the he11 is going on?!?" If the animal hadn't maimed you yet, you were supposed to "take care of it yourself!" If you whined about it, you would be so scared by the threat of the adult "giving you something to whine about," that you would grab a stick or a rock and chase the monster away!

Work Dreams

I've been having work dreams. Various people I've worked with over the years at various jobs are showing up. Also the various jobs and different places. Some of the coworkers are real, and some are based on real people, but some are completely made up. That goes for the locations as well. I started wondering if it's like back-to-school dreams? It is getting towards the end of summer after all. Could it be that my subconscious doesn't know that I've made the jump from going to work, to working from home?

I Refuse to Follow

Even in the Darkest Places

He was a sick and twisted man. He liked to gossip about the "sins" of others but he didn't see any of his own. He loved his sisters. Maybe he loved them too much. His attraction may have prevented a healthy relationship with a non-related woman. Well that and his inability to be responsible or get a job and earn an income. He slept late. He didn't like to work. He didn’t like to shovel or mow or do much except put pictures on his Facebook; because one day, he might be known as a great artist. He wasn't good at talking. His social skills were sub-par. His motivation nearly nonexistent. He let his parents support him and take care of him; decade after decade. But he still had lots of "advice" for others about marriage and raising children—of which he had done neither. He was talented. He could spot other people’s shortcomings and he was always right! He had computers and smartphones and cameras and Wi-Fi and Netflix and he didn't have to work for it! ...

Scars

Anyone who has been on this Earth for a while, will suffer some injuries. Sometimes the scar is visible and often it is not. We have all suffered from emotional trauma of one kind or another—and these scars often end up on the inside where they can't always be seen. But they are there with us every day and every night. Hopefully, these scars teach us things about ourselves and about other people. Hopefully, these scars make us stronger. Sometimes, these scars can even make us more interesting and maybe even more beautiful. This tree bears it's scars both internally and externally—much the way many of us do. This tree is more interesting than most—because the barbed wire from some bygone day and some bygone farm, has been imbedded inside its trunk as it grew and lived. We cannot remove the wire without damaging the tree. The two parts are now one. This is how scars are. We get them and then we continue on with life. We cannot be separated from that leftover trauma without...

Jihadi & School-Shooters Cut From Same Cloth

There is a new place now for the pathetically inept . Those who formerly didn't fit anywhere—who could only vent their frustration by plotting and carrying out the mass murder of defenseless school children, can now join radical Muslim groups such as ISIS . Radical Islam is inviting to these people with low self-esteem, poor social skills, and a lack of intellectual and physical prowess. In the past, these individuals may have found their depraved outlet by the mass shooting of defenseless school children. But now, thanks to terrorist organizations, they are able to take their warped vendettas into backward regions of the Earth where they can team up with other pathetic losers. Unfortunately, many of these worst excuses for humanity are coming from Europe and the U.S. The prime suspect for the murder of James Foley is thought to have been a rapper from London. With a father facing federal terrorism charges in the U.S. and a family banned from Egypt, he decided to give rap a ...
