American Revolution Reenactment

During breakfast this morning, my first grader son was asking about the American Revolution. So we did a re-enactment using markers, chocolate Easter eggs, and colored pencils. We covered many things, such as, how the colonists used guerrilla tactics versus how the English troops liked to line up across from their enemy. We also covered the midnight ride of Paul Revere, and the Boston Tea Party. In the end, I'm happy to say that the chocolate Easter eggs, aka the colonists, came out victorious. But we did have to give credit to the colored pencils, aka the French Navy, for preventing reinforcements from changing the outcome.

SCRUM Master

I think anyone who is a SCRUM Master should have to wear a toy lightsaber.

"Defective Mouse"

Description: (required) The wireless mouse in the conference room is not working. We replaced the battery, but there doesn't seem to be any signal. It may be broken or perhaps all our batteries are bad.

CuTRis 04/25/2019 08:38:03 The batteries were installed backwards (again) in the mouse and the batteries were dead in the keyboard. All is working now.

Is Biden the Ticket to Oust Trump?

When Donald Trump was asked if Joe Biden should be disqualified from the Presidency based on sexual harassment allegations, Trump replied,

"Probably yes. Sleepy Joe hasn't had nearly as many women as I have."

Bible Knowledge is Important to Learning in General

Bible knowledge is especially important to literacy and understanding. No book has more references in other venues than the Bible.

Old Cedar Bridge

The Passive Aggressor

The book was missing. It had happened before. She didn't like anything that represented Christianity. Well... Christmas was OK because it was just about presents. But when her husband had bought a "Children's Bible Stories" book for their son, she quietly "got rid of it."

He simply wanted his child to be exposed to both their cultures. He also knew how biblical knowledge increased overall literacy. So, when he told the boy he should read about what Easter really was, they found that the book was missing. He searched everywhere but it was gone. She denied knowing what happened to it and refused to look him in the eye. Then, as many people do, she became angry at him for accusing her.

Knowing that he was dealing with someone who always behaved as if she was right and never worried about either logic or how he felt, he simply went to the bookstore to replace the book. His son went with him to help pick it out. She did not answer when he asked her if she wanted to go too.

As he predicted, she was gone when they returned home. They found a safe place for the new book. It would not be safe with the other books. Then the father and son agreed to move on and not talk about the incident again. It was the only way to keep peace in the family. Life was far too short to stay mad forever. Hopefully, she would learn that at some point. After all, she liked to post such sentiments on social media. Maybe she would learn to practice them. He sure hoped so.

Only Justice for Aranda

For Emmanuel Aranda, who threw a 5-year-old child from the 3rd floor of the Mall of America, there is only one fitting punishment. He should suffer the same fate. Whatever problems the man has, he completely lost all my sympathy. Anyone who hurts or kills a child deserves only pain and death. This is all I will say about this, except that I pray that this child does not have permanent damage.

Diversity by Force

I find it discouraging that Americans are being force-fed diversity. When everything is mandated by government and employers, it isn't real. When the media only shows half the story it distorts the truth. It creates a backlash (like how Trump became President). No one likes to be called-out as the bad guy. No one likes to be forgotten as having "no culture." No one wants to be forced to accept someone of another race who they would not accept (for other reasons) if they were both the same race. If you don't like this, you are probably a fake liberal.

What is real, is that some of us have friends who are not the same race as us. Some of us have family who are different races than we are. We love these people for real reasons. Sometimes we argue with them and sometimes they are wrong and sometimes they are right. But they are not always right; even if they are a different race than we are. Because that is real life.
