Governor Wrong on Remote Work

I'm afraid I must part ways with Governor Tim Walz on the issue of remote work. I even had to chuckle, when I heard his reasoning for making state employees return to the office at least 50% of the time. That reasoning, is a tactic being used quite often recently, when decisions are made unilaterally and not by consensus. George Carlin was right. People throw a lot of big words and lofty language into things to make them sound more important than they are. I work remotely. If I want to collaborate with my team, I can do that just as quickly and perhaps more efficiently remotely than in the office. We have so many collaborative tools at our disposal, that messages and team meetings are an effective and normal part of our daily work life. It is not our responsibility to populate the downtown areas at our expense. Working remotely, saves fuel and time. While being very productive, I am also able to better care for my family. My job has changed, and is going to change again. Each time, I am expected to reinvent myself and adapt. That is what the downtown areas are going to need to do as well. Things change, and the remote work trend is almost all positive. If this was not the case, people would be wanting to go back to the office instead of labor unions fighting against such unilateral decisions.

Trump Revives the Worst of Our History

What we have now under Trump in the USA, is that sick racist sexist crap that has been whispered forever and I can remember hearing it occasionally throughout my childhood. As an adult, I thought it was mostly gone, but it exists in especially rural areas. Those places where diversity does not really exist, seem to foster the most resentment against people who are different. That crap has spewed up and become normal now. It's shameful. While I'm the first to admit that liberalism got out of hand a few years ago, what's happening now is wrong, it's shameful and it really sucks. But there are still a lot of people who still think this is good. Their resentment has clouded the reality of the entirety of America being swallowed up by the rich and unscrupulous. If you just listen to Trump and Musk, they have laid out the takeover and lied about everything that their supporters believe in. The answers to the exam are right in front of us, but half of the population is determined to choose their own demise because of hatred, fear and paranoia.

San Francisco - Palace of Fine Art, Waymo, Union Square, Chinatown

Today it rained, but we went to, (San Francisco) Palace of Fine Art, Waymo, Union Square and Chinatown. The Palace was amazing, but so is riding in a self-driving car!

Alcatraz

We took a tour of Alcatraz Island (former) penitentiary. Then we had lunch at Boudin Sourdough Bakery. We had dinner at Pescatore (Italian).

Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Redwoods & Sausalito

We took a Bus Tour and it was awesome! Then we had a late dinner at Tai Elephant.
